Strange Eats...

I made & veggie tofu stir fry for dinner. My son only wanted plain tofu.

I cubed some tofu for him and toasted it in the oven.

My son also asked for some "messketti" (spaghetti). I had some leftover so I heated it up for him. Then, my son requested a taco shell. I dug one out of the freezer and heated it up as well.

I placed everything on his plate. My son said he was going to make a taco and proceeded to put the spaghetti in the shell and topped it with the tofu.

He ate it all! And all this time I thought he was such a picky eater!

THE GIVER GETS

"In order to love someone,
we have to fill ourselves with love.
Loving others is not a selfless sacrifice
but a fulfilling of who we are and what we want."

"In a houseful of 'kids' and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured." ~Robert Brault

How true-if we choose not to let ourselves get angry &/or frustrated-so many situations within the family unit can simply be silly and send us in another direction.

I guess the quote can also be interpreted to mean that are day is full of so many duties we don't have time to have a bad day.

I think I'm going to try and remember to see the sillier side of life...
