Why don't other moms tell us these things?

So after the birth of my second child, my sister tells me, "I was going to wait for you to find this out on your own, but..." What the hell is this mentality all about with some moms? Aren't we all in this together? What ever happened to the concept "it takes a village?"
My sister, however relunctanly, offered up the advice. If you have a boy make sure to point his peepee down when your changing his diaper. It stops the pee from shooting out the top of the diaper. Yah, and put on a rain coat during the entire process-the forecast is calling for heavy showers!
